Emotional Intelligence
Updated: Aug 7, 2019

Leaders today are gaining greater success by having high EQ's. These are behaviors that can be described by empathy, active listening, respect, inclusion and kindness to name a few.
EQ should also include confidence without ego. Particularly the desire to help others grow in their career.
Not everyone has emotional intelligence but, it can be improved with practice.
Successful leaders know that EQ has to be greater than IQ in today's competitive job market. You can be the smartest person in the room but, if no one wants to be around you, then your path of growth will be limited.
The qualities of a true leader are apparent to those around them leaving no question as to why they are worthy of their position.
