Asking Questions

Very interesting interview with Krista Tippett at Google last week. The topic was The Art of Generous Listening. Listening is about being actively present. It's not just about being quiet. Most people think they need to have answers, so they are thinking about how they are going to answer while the other person is still asking the question. The truth is that the reason we are falling short is that we are not asking enough questions. Many people see it as a weakness to not have answers or to ask too many questions. To that, most questions are asked as "loaded questions". Loaded questions are arguments and not actual questions.
